This project is a major renovation of a 1964 home in Orange County, set at the top of a hill with panoramic mountain views to the east.
The original upper level was removed and rebuilt, with a new third level added above. The entry was relocated to the top floor and is now accessed by a bridge from the driveway. Upon arrival, visitors enter an open mezzanine overlooking the double-height living room below, with immediate views toward the mountains.
The main level was reorganized to better support family life, with larger bedrooms for the children and a more generous pantry. The upper level is dedicated to the primary suite and separate home offices for each partner, allowing both to work from home with privacy and views.
The lower level retains an independent guest room. A new extension at the yard adds a pool house and gym, directly supporting the pool and outdoor living areas.
Dark and warm metal cladding define the exterior, with concrete anchoring the house to the site. The renovation transforms a modest 1964 home into a three-level residence fully oriented to its mountain setting.
