Arup commissioned Métrica to redesign their Bogotá office, their only location in South America, following the original 2016 design. The renovation addressed staff growth and the shift to hybrid work after the pandemic.
The updated space includes a new access lounge, expanded meeting areas, and three rooms that combine into a single multipurpose space for all 55+ employees. A full wall finished in blackboard paint supports informal brainstorming with chalk, an intentionally analog contrast to the firm's digital work. The office now supports flexible scheduling across the team.
Métrica coordinated closely with Arup New York on program requirements and delivered the project on time and under budget. One element carried over from the original design: the ping pong table on the terrace, overlooking the city and mountains.
