Arup commissioned Metrica to redesign their Bogotá office, the only one in South America, following the design of the original office in 2016. The goal of the renovation project was to accommodate staff growth and adapt to the changes brought about by the pandemic.
The new space features a new access lounge, expanded meeting spaces, and the ability to unite three separate meeting rooms into one multi-purpose room for all 55+ employees. The office was also transformed to support a flexible work schedule. A large wall was covered with blackboard paint to facilitate flexible brainstorming using chalk and an eraser - an analog and playful approach.
Metrica worked closely with Arup New York to coordinate the requirements of the new office, and the space was designed and built by Metrica on time and under budget. A key aspect of the design was preserved: the ping pong table on the terrace with views of the city and mountains.
